Why it's free

Most plant identification apps send each photo to a server, and every photo a server handles costs money. That is why they cap free scans or ask for a subscription.

Free Plant Identifier sends the model to you instead. Your browser downloads it once (35 MB) and every identification after that happens on your phone or computer. With no cost per photo there is no limit to lift, no account to create and nothing to pay. The model stays in your browser's cache, so the next visit starts straight away.
